A necessary upgrade of the runway
The runway used by Eindhoven Airport will undergo renovation starting in February 2027. An improved Instrument Landing System (ILS) will also be installed, enabling aircraft to land in very dense fog. During the works, no flights will be possible for a period of 5,5 months. Due to the renovation of the runway, Eindhoven Airport will be temporarily closed to air traffic from 1 February 2027 to 19 July 2027. During this period, no flights will depart from or arrive at the airport.

The runway renovation at Eindhoven Airport cannot be done only in the evenings because it is a complete reconstruction of the airport’s only runway.
Booking a flight to or from Eindhoven Airport is still possible, except for flights during the period from 1 February 2027 to 18 July 2027.
During the runway closure, Eindhoven Airport’s parking areas will be closed. The parking facilities will reopen from 19 July 2027. It is still possible to make a reservation for dates before or after the closure period.
