1 February 2027 to 19 July 2027

From 19 July

Flights from Eindhoven Airport will resume, and the terminal will be open again.

Between 1 February 2027 and 19 July 2027, there will be no air traffic from Eindhoven Airport. This means neither military nor commercial flights will take place. During this period, aircraft normally stationed at Eindhoven will depart from other airports. As a result, the skies around Eindhoven will be considerably quieter.

On 19 July, air traffic will resume from Eindhoven Airport. It is expected that airlines will make full use of their flight schedules from this date onwards. In the intervening period, numerous works will be carried out on the airport grounds, such as widening the runway, constructing an additional taxi track on the east side of the runway, and replacing the arresting system for the Royal Netherlands Air Force fighter jets. In addition, a Category 3 Instrument Landing System will be installed, which enables aircraft to land and take off even in dense fog.

There will also be plenty happening at Eindhoven Airport itself during this period. The terminal expansion will be completed, and other adjustments will also be made so that, upon reopening, the airport will have new facilities available.

No flights will be possible at Eindhoven Airport from February 1st 2027 to July 18th 2027.

During the runway closure, you may still hear airplanes in the Eindhoven region. These are often aircraft flying between other airports. Generally, they fly at high altitudes.
