Temporary runway closure at Eindhoven Airport

A necessary upgrade of the runway

The runway used by Eindhoven Airport will undergo renovation starting in February 2027. An improved Instrument Landing System (ILS) will also be installed, enabling aircraft to land in very dense fog. During the works, no flights will be possible for a period of 5,5 months. Due to the renovation of the runway, Eindhoven Airport will be temporarily closed to air traffic from 1 February 2027 to 19 July 2027. During this period, no flights will depart from or arrive at the airport.

Eindhoven Airport to be closed for five and a half months in 2027: these are the consequences

In and around Eindhoven Airport, operations will come to a standstill for more than five months in 2027 due to major works on the runway. All air traffic will be suspended between February 1st and 19 July. During this period, intensive work will be carried out to future‑proof the airport. Passengers will be able to use alternative airports during the closure.
