Construction work

What to expect as a passenger during the terminal expansion at Eindhoven Airport

Eindhoven Airport is currently working on expanding the terminal to provide more space and comfort for passengers, staff and visitors. All work is expected to be completed in 2027. While we’re expanding our terminal, we’re doing everything we can to make sure you can continue to travel comfortably. Below you can read what will temporarily change during the construction period.

Temporary emergency staircase to the platform Due to the relocation of the walkways leading to the aircraft, you may need to use a temporary emergency staircase when arriving or departing. Passengers with reduced mobility can use an alternative route. If you haven’t requested assistance in advance, please let the staff members at the stairs know — they’ll be happy to help.

Good news: the new terminal will feature escalators and elevators, making it even easier for everyone to travel comfortably.

New terminal entrance and exit Because of the construction work, the entrance and exit have been temporarily relocated.

The entrance is located on the side of the terminal, near the Tulip Inn hotel. The exit is situated next to Starbucks, from where you’ll walk through a separate corridor that leads to the forecourt. To keep passenger flow smooth and safe, please use only the designated entrance to enter the terminal. Don’t worry — clear signage throughout the airport will guide you along the designated route.

Construction work in and around the terminal Work is taking place in several areas in and around the terminal to support the expansion. These areas are clearly fenced off with barriers or walls. We’re doing everything we can to minimize inconvenience — safety is always our top priority.

Thank you for your understanding during the renovation. Together with our partners we’re building a terminal that will soon be more comfortable, spacious, and easily accessible for all passengers.
