Places to visit in Valencia
Plaza de la Virgen is located in the historic centre of the city. The outdoor cafés are inviting and perfect for taking some time to relax. Valencia has so much to offer, such as the basilica Virgen de Los Desamparados and the Gothic palace Palau de la Generalitat. Also don't forget to take a good look at the fountain in the centre of the square. The image of the man is synonymous with the Turia river, which flows through Valencia. The women's statues symbolise the channels flow from the river.

La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (the City of Arts and Sciences) was built during the 1990s and is a modern, futuristic complex housing a number of cultural institutions. You can enjoy a concert in the opera house, or visit the planetarium, science building, performing arts centre, IMAX theatre, the largest aquarium in Europe, and more. New exhibitions are organised continuously and the whole complex is surrounded by water and a beautiful park.
