Eindhoven Airport welcomed a record number of passengers in 2025

In 2025, Eindhoven Airport welcomed a record number of 6,956,486 passengers (departing and arriving combined). In 2023 (the previous record year), the number of passengers was 6,814,214 (2024: 6,798,982).

In 2025, there were 41,011 aircraft movements (take-offs and landings combined) to and from Eindhoven Airport. In 2024 and 2023, that number stood at 40,826 and 41,496 respectively. Eindhoven Airport had an authorised number of aircraft movements of 41,500 in 2025 – the same as in 2024.

The high number of passengers in 2025 was partly achieved by deploying larger aircraft. Additionally, the average occupancy per flight was even higher at 170 passengers (2024: 167).

With 690,746 passengers, May 2025 was the busiest month ever at Eindhoven Airport (2024: 680,953). The busiest day was 5 May 2025 with a total of 24,935 passengers (departing and arriving combined).

Last year, Malaga, London, Alicante, Budapest, and Valencia were the top five destinations with the most passengers. The total number of destinations from Eindhoven Airport fell from 79 in 2024 to 76 in 2025.

In 2025, work was well underway to expand the terminal, with construction officially starting in November 2024. This month, the highest point of the expansion will be reached. The expansion is scheduled for completion in July 2027.

Eindhoven Airport is expanding the terminal because the current terminal is too small for the present number of passengers. The current terminal was built for a maximum of 5 million passengers per year. This year, the airport had nearly 7 million passengers. The expansion will offer passengers more space, comfort, and overall experience.
